Controlled & Uncontrolled Media

Sir Haren started the class by introducing "controlled" and "uncontrolled" media.

Controlled media are the kind that can be created and controlled by the firm such as advertisement, speeches, paid programs, and employee newsletters while uncontrolled media are the kind that cannot be controlled by the firm such as television, radio, and newspapers.

After the discussion of the topic, the class was divided into four groups and we were each assigned our side for the debate. There was controlled vs. uncontrolled media, and the other two groups were new vs. traditional media.

During the debate, every one of us had a chance to speak, rebut, and argue our points. At the end of the meeting, we learned the advantages and disadvantages of each sides, and we were able to learn more about each of the topics through the debate.
